Roxy

Roxy was rescued by Bubba‘s Rescue from a high kill shelter in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where she came in as a stray. She was adopted in 2018 and was returned because they said she didn’t get along with the other female dogs. But she gets along great with her best friend Misty! In 2019 she traveled up with some of her friends to Minnesota to Arrows Heart Animal Rescue. They are an amazing rescue from Zimmerman, Minnesota! On March 23, 2019 I saw Roxy at an adoption event at Petsmart with some of her rescue friends. I fell in love instantly and adopted her. I had a DNA test done on Roxy to confirm what I thought… That she is half German Shepherd and half Doberman Pincher. She is so beautiful and smart and loyal! She graduated at the top of her class in dog training. Someone had already put a lot of time into her I could tell. Sometimes I feel bad for the people who maybe had her before she was a stray… I wonder how she got to be a stray… Do they miss her?… Or did they just leave her on the side of the road?… She has a scar that wraps around her one eye and I wonder how she got that. And I hope that nobody was mean to her because she is the most amazing dog with the biggest heart. If you are out there and you just lost her somehow… She is healthy and she is happy and she gets the best care. I always put her before myself. I tell her every day that she us my treasure forever and ever. Roxy‘s favorite toy is the squeaky Kong tennis balls. She loves to play fetch! She’s getting older now and she stopped playing for a while… But then I started her on Cosequinn for her hips. And within a couple weeks she was chasing that ball again! I’m guessing she is about 10 years old now??
