DogDog "$10K Rescue Voting Contest"

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE.

The DogDog "$10K Rescue Voting Contest" (the "Contest") is sponsored by DogDog.org (the "Sponsor").

1. Eligibility

This Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of participation ("Participants").

This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins on 3/11/2026 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ends on 3/31/2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the "Contest Period").

Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeping device for this Contest.

3. How to Participate

During the Contest Period, participants may vote for their favorite animal rescue or shelter by interacting with the official DogDog contest posts on social media.

Each valid comment naming an animal rescue or shelter counts as one (1) vote for that organization.

Participants may submit multiple comments; however:

  • Each comment may only include one (1) rescue or shelter.
  • If a comment includes multiple organizations, only the first organization mentioned may be counted as the vote, or the comment may be disregarded at Sponsor's discretion.
  • Edited comments may not be counted. Participants should ensure their comment correctly names the intended rescue or shelter at the time it is posted.

Only comments posted during the Contest Period will be counted.

Votes must reference legitimate animal rescue organizations or shelters. Sponsor reserves the right to disregard votes for organizations that are not animal welfare related.

Sponsor reserves the right to remove or disregard comments that are:

  • duplicate submissions
  • spam or repetitive posts
  • unrelated to the contest
  • submitted using automated tools or scripts

4. Platform-Specific Voting Instructions

Participants may vote through DogDog's official contest posts on supported social media platforms. Voting mechanics vary slightly by platform.

Facebook

To vote on Facebook:

  1. Like the official DogDog contest post
  2. Share the post to your feed
  3. Comment with the name of the animal rescue or shelter you want to support (tagging the organization if possible)

Each qualifying comment counts as one vote.

Instagram

To vote on Instagram:

  1. Like the official DogDog contest post
  2. Share the post to your story or feed
  3. Comment with the name of the rescue or shelter you want to support (tagging them if possible)

Each qualifying comment counts as one vote.

X (Twitter)

To vote on X:

  1. Like the official DogDog contest post
  2. Retweet the post
  3. Reply to the post with the name of the rescue or shelter you want to support (tagging them if possible)

Each qualifying reply counts as one vote.

TikTok

To vote on TikTok:

  1. Like the official DogDog contest video
  2. Repost the video
  3. Comment with the name of the rescue or shelter you want to support (tagging them if possible)

Each qualifying comment counts as one vote.

Sponsor reserves the right to disregard votes that appear fraudulent, automated, or otherwise violate the spirit of the Contest.

5. Vote Integrity and Anti-Manipulation

Sponsor reserves the right to monitor voting activity and remove votes that appear to be generated through fraudulent or manipulative practices.

The following actions are prohibited and may result in disqualification of votes or removal of an organization from eligibility:

  • use of bots, scripts, or automated voting tools
  • coordinated spam campaigns
  • creation of multiple fake accounts for voting purposes
  • paid vote services or vote exchanges
  • any activity intended to artificially inflate vote totals

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to invalidate votes that it believes violate these rules or the spirit of the Contest.

6. Determination of Winners

At the end of the Contest Period, Sponsor will tally all valid votes.

The ten (10) animal rescues or shelters receiving the highest number of valid votes will each receive a donation of $1,000 USD from DogDog.

If a tie occurs that affects the final placement, Sponsor reserves the right to determine the recipient(s) at its sole discretion.

All decisions by Sponsor regarding vote eligibility and counting are final.

7. Prize / Donations

A total of ten (10) donations of $1,000 USD each will be awarded to eligible animal rescue organizations or shelters.

Total donation pool: $10,000 USD

Donations will be made directly to the selected organizations, not to the individuals who voted for them.

If a selected organization is determined to be ineligible, inactive, or unable to accept the donation, Sponsor reserves the right to select the next highest vote-receiving organization.

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the donation recipient if necessary to ensure funds support legitimate animal welfare organizations.

8. Notification

Winning organizations will be announced on DogDog social media channels following the conclusion of the Contest Period.

Sponsor may contact the selected organizations to confirm eligibility and arrange delivery of the donation.

If an organization does not respond within a reasonable period of time or cannot accept the donation, Sponsor may select an alternate recipient.

9. Platform Disclaimers

This Contest may be conducted across various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and TikTok.

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, X, or TikTok.

Participants understand that they are providing information to the Sponsor and not to the social media platforms.

10. Conditions

By participating in this Contest, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor.

Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • late, lost, delayed, or misdirected entries
  • technical failures or network issues
  • interruptions or errors in social media platforms
  • unauthorized human intervention in the Contest

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical issues, or other factors impair the integrity of the Contest.

Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules.

11. Limitation of Liability

By participating, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of participation in the Contest or acceptance of any prize or donation.

12. Publicity

By participating in the Contest, participants agree that Sponsor may publicly announce the names of the winning organizations and may reference submitted votes, comments, or user handles in promotional materials related to the Contest.

13. Governing Law

This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Sponsor is headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes arising from this Contest will be resolved individually and not as part of a class action.
