Steven

Biography
I was doing dog rescue this was 2012 and had a my foster minpin Sami Sue with me while at the ARC and I ran into a lady who said her neighbor had one tied to the fence with no shelter and they didn’t give him food or water and would lock him in the shed. We documented for 3 weeks the neglect going on with this little dog while she took care of him. After hearing he was locked in a hot shed all day I went to get him, his jailers watched from the window while I unwound a 50ft chain that was wrapped around the fence giving Steven only 3 ft to walk, his blanket was covered in mud & so was he. I walked him to the car waiting for them to come out and say something, to want him back, nothing. Steven has been with me ever since, he ran full speed around our house for 3 days after getting off that chain. He is such a sweet loyal little guy! He is able to walk off leash next to me and the couple times his sisters and he escaped the yard he sat on the porch waiting for me. He wouldn’t run the neighborhood like his girls. Both his sisters have passed so now he goes everywhere with me. He is such a great companion and I love him so much! I don’t really know how old he is but he’s getting a white face and I know he’s in his teens, 13? 14? An oldie but goodie. He’s great around cats and likes going for his nightly 2 hour walk that he leads. He decides where we go and when he’s done we go home! He is named after Steve Conte a guitar player who is part of The Michael Monroe Band. His sisters AC & Sami were also named for musicians who played with Michael Monroe, all my fosters were named the same way. Time to cook Steven dinner so enough stories for now! 🥰
