Biography

Titan was rescued from a S Carolina hurricane. My then fiance came home very excited to foster a dog, "just over the holidays", to which I responded," No, because you are going to want to keep it". With promises that he would not, we went to the Humane Society. Instead of looking at small dogs, since we already had a pug and a mini poodle, he wanted an big dog. I never considered Titan, he was an 80lb 'monster'! We walked 4 "crazy" dogs, then I saw Titan sit and offer his paw to a woman who paused at his cage. I was no longer afraid and suggested we walk him. He was perfect! When time was almost up my fiance mentioned, "Titan goes back next week." I gave him a look, "Titan's not going anywhere". He had claimed my heart. When my relationship with my fiance ended, Titan came with me. He saw me through heartbreak, gave me a reason to get up in the morning, and made me laugh. He loves his walks, playing tug and fetch, and recently his favorite game is doing nose work ( I hide treats in a different room and then he sniffs it out to claim his prize). At 160lbs he still thinks he's a lap dog. He's my joy, my protector, my family. Now he's been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, bone cancer, in his front foreleg. Im trying desperately to raise funds to save him. 5400.00 will save his life. I am only 1100.00 away. I've sold a car, have a gofundme up, called family and friends, and applied for grants. If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful. Titan is not ready to go. Despite the pain in his leg he still tries to play, he still wants his belly scratches and loves to be outside. I won't give up on Titan. He never met a stranger and offers his paw to everyone he meets. He survived a hurricane. Let's help him survive this cancer.
