Lyric

Three years ago I Lyric adopted from a rescue that rescues senior dogs from the San Pedro animal shelter. Sadly, because this shelter is located near the enormous L.A. shipping port, the shelter historically been overloaded. Lyric was first saved by H.E.L.P. Foundation, also, heavily burdened by so many senior dogs. Lyric is remarkably resilient, almost succumbing to pyometra. She is blind from previously untreated glaucoma and is also under medication for diabetes insipidus. But she is now energetic, happy, and unstoppable! Currently I am also fostering a little (15 lb.) dog about 15 years old suffering from abuse and neglect. He has cognitive issues and weak hips. He’s timid and fearful. But through love and patience, getting a little braver each day. Along with additional volunteer work, my life is on “overload” and, I would not have it any other way!
