Lovely Leah

Leah is what's known as a "reactive" dog. She came to us from Texas and it was clear she would not be able to be placed in rescue anytime soon (if ever). She was only a year old. She is now 8 and is the smartest, silliest dog we've ever had. She does not do well with other animals (except her deer buddies who visit her over the fence), she doesn't like anyone but my husband and I (was the perfect "social distancing" dog) but we adore her and are willing to make a few adjustments to keep her in our lives. While she bonded immediately with me, it took time and lessons in "Force Free Training" before she was comfortable around my husband. Now, they are almost inseparable.
