After losing my last dog I never thought Icould get another because i was so heart broken. After a few years my fiance brought it up and i would just say yea ok. Well one day he sent me Mikas pic and said what about her? Shes in a shelter and they have no room shes getting put down today. And something about her not just the situation made me snap into action. I said what do we have to do. I called the lady who put her pic up. Gave her all our iinfo, including ourlicenses, jobs and address. She did a background check and approved us. I said it might take me a bit to get to New York where she was in the shelter. They said no problem one of the ladies is dropping off other dogs as she heads to florida. As a thank you for saving this sweet girl we paid het $250 adoption fee, spayed and microchipped ger and will drop her off. Not only did they get her a nice mcdonalds meal on the way but they gave us a collar, leash, and food. Ive never had a big dog ir a bully breed so i was a little anxious. Not because of the reputation but because of her size and it had been a while since I had let a dog into my heart. But this girl is amazing. She is the most loving dog ive ever met. She actually hugs ypu. All she wants is to give her love and be loved. You could tell she had been in some fights and been abused but that did not stop her from putting her trust into people. She changed our lives. I cant imagine life without her. The lady we found her from still keeps in touch and 5 years later still thanks us for saving her. But we didnt save her. She saved us! I love my Mika girl so much. She is my best friend.
