Gotcha day 9/13/18 We did an extended search since my husband was working in Sioux City, IA at that time, and found our very special hound in Spencer, IA at People for Pets Rescue. They were devastated by flood waters. "Spencer, Iowa, experienced catastrophic and historic flooding on June 22, 2024. ​Following days of torrential rain, the Little Sioux River reached a record crest of 22.20 feet, surpassing the previous 1953 record by two feet. The disaster affected roughly 80% of the homes in the community, leading to boat rescues, a total shutdown of city services, and the loss of power and cell service for many residents."
