Starr

Biography
Starr is a parvo survivor . Back in the summer of 2021, during the height of Covid, we lost our heart and soul dog, 14yr old Black Lab, Jack. He had been right by my side after all 21 of my inpatient hospital stays and 8 serious surgeries. We needed a playmate for our other Black Lab, Jill, age10. Both Jack and Jill had been Cobb Co Animal rescues. We searched every shelter, within a 5 hr drive for Jill a new friend. Finally found 2 puppies a breeder near Savannah was selling very cheap. She was just raising money to help spay her Flat Coat Retriever, who she stated got outside and had an accidental mating with a neighbor's Lab. We almost always get our companion animals from shelters but we were having no luck. We made that long drive back from the Savannah area back to Rome, with brother and sister pups. They were 3 months old. Within 2 weeks they became very ill and sadly Jett passed but thank God Starr survived. Her little legs never grew much and she behaves much more like a dauschund, so we believe she is a Flat coat Retriever Doxie mix. She is now 5 yrs old, sassy, spunky, healthy very loving and sleeps right between us every night. She is truly our Princess. She is completely adored and absolutely spoiled rotten! You absolutely hold dearest to you those things you almost lose. We love her so very much! ❤️ 🐾
