Denver

Denver was found on a stormy day. A little puppy just sitting in the middle of the road being drenched. I stopped and picked him up, bundled him in an old blanket that I had in the car and brought him home. None of the neighbors knew anything about him, and no one responded to our found puppy ads so Denver became a member of our family. This was many years ago, and based on the veterinarian's "guesstimate" at the time, we listed his birthday as September 28, 2012 making today his 13th birthday! He was very skittish at first and shied away barking at anyone and anything he wasn't familiar with. Even moving an item outside would cause him to go into a barking frenzy. He has since calmed down considerably but still barks at anyone riding in a golf cart, delivery people and any big birds that fly overhead. He's a barker but he's my barker and he is my shadow following me around the house and sleeping beside the bed. He's my little boy, he's my heart, he's my Denver.
