Rooster

Rooster’s story: Rooster was found roaming in a neighborhood in rural Tx, as a 5 month old puppy. He was scanned for a microchip and one was found + it was registered! We reached out to the owner and they told us to “do whatever with him” and that he “is aggressive to dogs and puppies”. I’m an emergency foster for Hearts And Howls Rescue so I took him home with me. He had been dumped for being a puppy. I fostered then adopted him a month later! He turned 2 years old on January 19, 2026. His microchip had his exact birthdate. Rooster is extremely dog / puppy friendly, cat friendly, kid friendly, bird friendly, small pet friendly, rabbit friendly, etc. he was abused by his previous owner; he has some behaviors that are only consistent with that. Our vet agrees. He is the most friendly, loving, playful boy! I’ll never know what he went through prior to ending up with me but he has never known a life without love and being spoiled since!
