Chase and Ellie

Chase and Ellie are two of the sweetest 7 month old pups and it astounds everyone that they have such wonderful dispositions despite what they endured. A family allowed their Great Pyrenees and Yellow Lab to mate and relinquished the litter to a rescue. The foster family left them in a field in Southern California in the heat. They were rescued again when I took them in covered in fleas, at least 1000 ticks embedded between toes/ears/anus/in ear canal, under dew claws etc., emaciated, dehydrated, dry itchy coat and skin, and filthy. They were terrified when I picked them up. Of course, I went straight to Pet Food Express to use the tub. While we spent hours bathing and removing ticks the staff took pics and offered treats. This picture was 2 weeks in our care. I’ll upload more photos later. They are the kindest most loving dogs. Dogs are incredibly forgiving and loving despite what abuse people impose upon them.
