Callie and Franks

Rescued Franks, on the right, @ around 7 months old. Puppy mill dog that was scared of his own shadow. I rescued Franks w/ his littermate, Annie. She was also fearful. It took 4 yrs and an old rescue lab named Barney to get them to dog. Barney and Annie passed away about 6months apart and Franks was bereft. He would howl all day while I was at work. I adopted Callie when she was 7.5yrs. old and she saved Franks. She had languished in rescue because she had Addison's Disease and nobody wanted to deal w/ a chronic illness. My wonderful vets and I got her on a maintenance dosage of her medications and she lived to be 15.5 yrs.
