EllieMae was at the shelter for about a week when I saw her picture on the web site. I wasn't looking for a dog but I fell in love with that picture. The next day I met her and she seemed to love me too! I found out she was fourteen and quite sick. Two days later I brought her home thinking she might die. But I knew she would be better in a warm loving home. She had her operation, we got her on prescription food. She's nearly 16 now and still hops around like a puppy when she's excited. She sleeps a lot. She loves laying in the grass and rolling in the sand. We got her an AC unit because her favorite room gets hot. I do believe she's a happy pup.
