Axel Rose Chapman

I was walking through the shelter. 3 days, 3 hours each day. Axel, formally known as Nick, would sit by his caged door and look up at me or look in my direction. When other people walked in he would go to the outside of his kennel. He did this on days 2 and 3. So I took him outside and met him. He checked everything out first then sat down next to me and just stared at me. I put my hand out so he could smell me closer then he put his head under my hand and gave me permission to pet him. After that he didn’t want to leave my side. After the paperwork was finished they brought him outside where I was and I got the biggest butt wags I had ever seen. He almost fell over with excitement. He jumped right into my car and literally imprinted on me. I trained him to be my service dog. We have been inseparable ever since we met that day at the shelter. He literally is my whole heart! I am so lucky and so blessed to have found him.
