Luke

This is my grand dog Luke. He joined our family 4 years ago. He came from Greenville Animal Shelter. Luke is a giant, but softly gentle. He is scared by storms and never meets a stranger. There are three things he loves most in this world; a treat, a ball, and his family. I am so impressed by him. My daughter has two young boys. Luke watches after them so intently. If the boys are outside playing, Luke patrols the yard keeping everything out. He runs the perimeter barking letting all the deers, bears, turkeys, and coyotes know to stay away. When the boys are inside, you can always find him looking through the windows making sure they are safe. He follows window to window keeping up with their every move. Which isn’t easy because they are both toddlers and all over the place. As soon as Luke is let inside, his first instinct is to run to the children and sniff them to be sure they are okay. He is so caring and gentle around them. The funny thing is my daughter went to the shelter to find a small kitten to accompany her existing cat. She came back with a remarkable best friend and protector for their family. Luke greets me at every visit and expects a treat when I exit the car. He expects his second treat as I leave. I am proud to say that I am the Gram to three amazing grand boys. Just so happens one is taller, has fur, four legs, and spots.
