From living her life being abused, locked in a cage, and used for breeding, to a throw away. Then in and out of shelters. The first time I saw her was coming out of her cage to take her final walk. At that moment I realised that she was coming home to be loved. I wouldn't let her out of my sight and home she came. At approximately 8 years of age Zona got her first home,her first bed, her first toy, and bundles of love. Within a year she acclimatised, learned to trust, just be her. By the end of that year my amazing cuddle bug passed her service dog exams and became not just my best friend, but my medical aide.I l9ve how she taught so many people how loving and friendly her breed is. People went from scared, to awe and amazement. She touches lives and brings joy to so many, as well as educating about her breed and their friendly, loving, and caring demeanor. She has saved my life (literally), alerted to seizures, brought me meds, and found help. Zona is my shadow, my velcro dog, and mó ghrá.
