Bera

Biography
🌟 Bera’s Story 🌟 Bera’s tale begins in Texas—of all places—where fate had her waiting with a kind sheriff who rescued her. Back home in California, I already had an 18-year-old husky who made it clear there was no need for another puppy in the house. So, naturally, I wasn’t planning on adding more paws to the family. But then I stumbled across an adoption app while helping a friend look for an older rescue. That’s where I saw her. One look at Bera’s sweet little face, and my heart was gone. Still, I told myself, “Nope. I’m not flying to Texas.” But I kept checking back, making sure she was still safe—almost like I knew she was mine already. Two weeks later, fate got pushy. Another friend, totally unconnected to the first, called out of the blue. “Hey, would you fly to Texas to pick up a truck for me? I’ll buy you a plane ticket.” And wouldn’t you know it? That truck was waiting in the exact same town where Bera was. Coincidence? I think not. The universe basically smacked me upside the head and said, “Stop being stubborn. Go get your girl.” When I picked her up, she was about 4 months old, full of sweetness—and like so many rescues, carrying scars no puppy should have. Bera came with two torn ACLs. She recently had surgery on one, with plates and pins put in, and she’s powering through recovery like the warrior she is. The other leg? Well, time will tell if it heals on its own or if she’ll need surgery down the road. The truth is, we don’t know what these poor pups go through before they find us. But I do know this: Bera wasn’t just rescued—she was meant to be mine. And together, we’re writing the next chapters of her story, one tail wag at a time. ❤️🐾
